Our mission is to improve the lives of individuals, their families and those in their communities.
We understand that change is not easy, and we strive to create an environment that surrounds the client on all sides. By offering the right balance of support, encouragement and challenge, we can create lasting change and offer each client the life they have always hoped they could live.”
Balance Treatment Center’s Programs are leading the way in comprehensive mental health care. Our residential facility is the only licensed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) in a residential setting in California. We work to ensure our programs remain responsive to the demands of the nation-wide and global challenges in mental health care. Other programs simply cannot compare to our level of comprehensive, quality care in a private and serene setting for healing.
We consider each individual. Rather than placing clients into an existing treatment mold, we work with them while they are immersed in the treatment setting to observe, discover and to build a treatment plan around their unique needs. Our clients are empowered to play an active role in the development of their own plan for growth. We are fortunate to work with no more than six clients at a time, which allows us to offer genuine focus on each person’s needs. We place great importance on the treatment milieu and how our clients can complement each other’s treatment.
Cohesion of our multidisciplinary staff, the intensity of our program, and the small milieu size guarantees that no client is left unseen. This structure gives clients an opportunity to form attachments or relationships that are the beginning of the healing process.
People are often accustomed to talking about their symptoms when interacting with care providers. At Balance, we are interested in knowing who they are, beyond their diagnosis and symptoms, and what is preventing their growth.
Individual work is an essential component to the treatment we provide. Clients work closely with their individual therapist on a daily basis during the week and have many opportunities to do additional work with their families. Strengthening support systems can expand the capacity for lasting change.
In our residential program, we work with people who suffer from a broad range of mental health struggles such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, gender and sexual identity issues, psychosis, co-occurring substance abuse challenges and many other struggles.
